Warehouse Person​/Van Driver

Overview

Play a key role as a Warehouse Person/Van Driver at Howdens, the UK’s Leading Trade Kitchen Supplier. You will handle customer interactions, manage deliveries, and keep the warehouse organized, accurate, and prepared for stock collections.

• Ensure the warehouse is organized, safe, and compliant with health & safety standards.
• Unload and check accuracy of incoming stock deliveries.
• Conduct daily and weekly checks on forklifts and other mechanical equipment.
• Secure outgoing orders and deliveries, conducting stock checks and rotating stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse.
• Assist with deliveries, collections, and general warehouse activity.

• Experience in sales, retail, or customer service environments.
• Ability to adapt quickly and manage a fast‑paced workload.
• Confident and friendly communicator who builds strong customer relationships.
• Clear explanation of products and solutions to trade customers.
• Good understanding of stock control, health & safety, and record keeping.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good literacy, numeracy, and time‑management skills.
• Customer focused approach with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Excellent communication and organisational planning skills.
