OverviewWe’re looking for a detail‑oriented Plant Accounting Analyst to join our accounting team in Fort Worth. In this role, you’ll play a key part in analyzing and reporting financial data tied to manufacturing operations. You’ll partner with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost accounting, support month‑end and year‑end closes, and provide insights that drive efficiency and cost savings.
ResponsibilitiesCost Accounting & Analysis
- Maintain standard cost models and analyze material, labor, and overhead variances.
- Monitor production costs, yield, and efficiency metrics.
- Prepare and review cost of goods sold (COGS) reports.
- Analyze variances against plan and forecast.
- Reconcile raw material, work‑in‑process, and finished goods inventories.
- Track and report scrap, rework, and inventory adjustments.
- Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to manufacturing operations.
- Generate and present plant‑level financial statements and variance analyses.
- Partner with operations to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost‑accounting principles.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting or related field.
- Advanced Excel skills; JDE software experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non‑financial stakeholders.
- Experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Familiarity with ERP/manufacturing systems beyond JDE.
- Exposure to process improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.
