OverviewA growing company in Irving is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex accounting problems, and wants exposure to consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, and cross-functional projects.
The Senior Corporate Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and process improvements. This is a great opportunity for someone coming out of public accounting or currently in industry looking for more ownership and career growth.
Key Responsibilities Month-End Close & General Ledger- Prepare and post monthly journal entries across multiple entities.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process.
- Support consolidated financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Assist with preparation of internal financial reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Coordinate with external auditors, providing schedules and support.
- Research and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to new transactions and accounting areas.
- Assist with SOX/internal controls documentation and testing.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Partner with FP&A, Operations, HR, and other departments to support financial accuracy.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting discussions as needed.
- Assist with special projects such as system implementations, process automation, and M&A integration.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting workflows.
- Enhance reporting tools, templates, and documentation for efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting preferred).
- 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm)

. - Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with major ERPs (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
