Senior Tax Manager
About the Role: Our client, located in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our growing team. This individual will lead client engagements, oversee staff development, and provide strategic tax planning and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for building trusted client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Review complex federal and state income tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
- Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients on business operations, entity structuring, and compliance matters.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff and seniors; provide performance feedback and career guidance.
- Manage client expectations, budgets, and engagement timelines to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Research complex tax issues and communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and proactively identify opportunities for additional services.
Qualifications:
- CPA license required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on tax compliance and consulting.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and managing complex returns.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with tax preparation software (CCH Axcess, Pro System fx, Ultra Tax, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
