$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

LHH Recruitment Solutions (Formerly Accounting Principals) has partnered with one of the leading General Contractors in Fort Worth to hire a Payroll Specialist with construction and multi-state experience. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of full-cycle payroll processing in the construction industry,
experience with multi-state processing, and knowledge of prevailing wage and certified payroll reporting

Position Overview

As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for 400 employees, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of payroll records. You will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and maintaining financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll for 600 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Post payroll records to the correct ledgers.
  • Maintain payroll records, including employee data, timesheets, and leave balances.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and documentation as needed.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Analyze regular vs. overtime hours for accuracy.
  • Analyze craft classes and pay rates for accuracy.
  • Track salary adjustments, vacation, and sick (where applicable) time.
  • Prepare and file all payroll tax returns.
  • Ensure all tax deposits are accurate and made on a timely basis.
  • Participate in year-end payroll tasks (tax rate changes, W-2s, ACA forms, etc.)
  • Update employee deductions for new year.
  • Perform payroll verifications and certifications as needed.
  • Remit child support and garnishment payments timely.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly Certified Payroll reports.
