Senior Executive Recruiter at LHH/Parker and Lynch

LHH is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of a multi-location organization operating in a highly regulated, consumer-focused industry. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader with a strong general ledger background who enjoys partnering closely with business unit leaders. The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, lead a small team, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple operating entities.

The ideal candidate brings hands‑on leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and a continuous‑improvement mindset.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, oversight, and performance feedback
  • Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned business units and key stakeholders
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity
  • Coordinate and review balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Prepare, review, and approve journal entries and month‑end closing entries
  • Oversee the month‑end close process and ensure timely preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Review monthly balance sheets and profit‑and‑loss statements for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with the preparation and issuance of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Review subsidiary and supporting schedules, including fixed assets, insurance, and prepaid amortization
  • Support the setup of bank accounts, credit card processing, and sales tax accounts for new business units
  • Evaluate existing accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and consistency

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an accounting supervisory or management role
  • Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and month‑end close processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing and developing accounting staff
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong experience working with accounting systems
  • Strong financial and business acumen with the ability to partner effectively with non‑finance stakeholders
