Project Accountant

The Project Accountant plays a vital role in overseeing the complete accounting cycle and financial reporting for a designated division. This dynamic position offers invaluable support to project managers and operational leaders, ensuring precise financial records, on‑time reporting, efficient job cost tracking, and strict adherence to internal controls, all while providing insightful financial guidance.

You’ll take charge of preparing and maintaining ledger entries, reconciliations, accruals, and managing month‑end closing activities. Additionally, you’ll oversee accounts payable and receivable, as well as reconcile bank accounts and various balance‑sheet accounts, ensuring everything is in perfect alignment.

In this role, you’ll keep a close eye on job costs, labor, equipment usage, subcontractor invoices, and materials. You’ll also validate project billings while tracking costs against job quotes to ensure they are complete and accurate.

Get ready to dive into preparing monthly divisional financial statements, variance analyses, and management reporting packages. You’ll monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics that drive success.

You’ll ensure our practices comply with internal policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements, while assisting with both internal and external audit requests.
