Job Description & How to Apply Below

At TLNT
, we believe that recruitment is more than just filling roles — it's about connecting humans with humans
. We're a people-first organization partnering with top U.S. companies to help them grow by attracting exceptional talent, and we know that the right content can open the right doors.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a leading US-based company — fully remote.

You'll join a certified B Corp that makes biobased laundry and dish products in plastic-free packaging — sold direct-to-consumer, on Amazon and through national retailers, and rated 4.5 stars across tens of thousands of customer reviews. Zero-waste has been the commitment since day one, and the business is growing across every channel.

As Staff Accountant, you'll own core pieces of the monthly close, inventory and cost accounting, and the controls behind them
. Reporting to the Controller, you'll work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A on a lean finance team where your work is visible, and your ideas shape how the company operates.

What matters is strong US GAAP fundamentals and hands-on experience closing the books and accounting for inventory.

What You'll Do
  • Month-end close. Own key parts of the close: journal entries, accruals, prepaids and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Inventory accounting. Account for inventory across warehouses and 3PLs — cycle count and physical count reconciliations, reserves and inventory roll-forwards.
  • Cost accounting. Support standard costing, landed cost and COGS analysis, including variance explanations to management.
  • Omnichannel revenue. Reconcile revenue and trade activity across DTC, Amazon and retail, including chargebacks, deductions and promotional spend.
  • Audit and tax. Prepare schedules and support for the annual audit and tax filings.
  • Controls. Document and strengthen internal controls and close processes as the business scales.
  • Systems and projects. Help improve the ERP and related tools, and take on ad hoc projects with the Controller.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, in public accounting, in-house or both.
  • Hands-on inventory and cost accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, especially inventory, revenue recognition and accruals.
  • Hands-on experience with a full month-end close and audit support.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on ERP experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, and comfortable in a fast-moving, growing company.
Nice to Have
  • CPA, or progress toward one.
  • Public accounting experience at a Big Four or similar firm.
  • In-house experience at a CPG or other inventory-based business.
  • Experience with omnichannel retail or Amazon, and exposure to standard costing or 3PL inventory.
Salary & Perks
  • Competitive Pay:
We hire top talent and compensate accordingly.
  • Join a mission-driven brand with broad exposure across the business.
  • This is a full-time, long-term position with room to grow.
  • The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.
  • Additional perks and benefits.
