Jackson Walker, the largest law firm in Texas, is seeking a full‑time Legal Administrative Support professional for our Fort Worth office. This role provides high‑level administrative support to attorneys, legal assistants, and paralegals. The successful candidate will maintain positive contact with clients, attorneys, and support staff while observing strict confidentiality of client, personnel, and firm matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
- Scan and profile documents in the appropriate iManage folder and email to team members as directed.
- Submit conflicts of interest for open files.
- Enter billable time for attorneys and assist with revisions to pre‑bills.
- Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments.
- Provide overflow assistance and perform other administrative and secretarial duties as requested.
- Proficient utilization of MS Word (styles for formatting), Adobe Acrobat Pro, pdfDocs, and familiarity with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and time‑entry systems.
- Experience organizing electronic files using a document‑management system (iManage experience a plus).
- Basic knowledge of different practice areas and workflow processes in a law firm.
- General familiarity of legal terminology, documents, and court systems.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong prioritization, attention to detail, accuracy, problem‑solving, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively in person, by email, and by telephone; ability to follow instructions from diverse clients, attorneys, and staff with courtesy and tact.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands while supporting multiple practice areas.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years’ administrative experience in a law office.
- Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise or temperature.
