Position Descriptor

This position is a temporary part-time non-exempt, hourly position eligible for overtime. It is not eligible for PTO or benefits. Must be willing to occasionally work nights and weekends as driven by events. Must be able to speak fluent English.

Purpose of Job

Assist in the maintenance of church property and equipment.

The Maintenance Assistant serves all ministries and departments within the organization so they may connect to Christ and one another within a clean, beautiful, and properly functioning facility as they abide in and extend Christ in Dallas and to the world.

Individual

Job Responsibilities Building Maintenance
  • Assists Facilities Manager with all building systems including HVAC, HVAC controls, lighting, roof, doors, access control, electric, plumbing, fire suppression, alarms, etc.
  • Assists Facilities Manager by working with contractors for the above systems
  • Assists Facilities Manager in anticipating the needs of the ministries and departments within the organization to ensure facility needs are met
Building Administration
  • Assist Facilities Manager in developing and managing checklists for all routine maintenance
  • Assist Facilities Manager in developing and managing PM schedules for all equipment
  • Assist Facilities Manager in developing and managing a building supplies and janitorial supplies inventory
Education and Experience d Preferred

College degree is preferred. Six years of experience in property/facilities management or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications - Competencies

Time management, flexibility, strong leadership, and organizational skills are required. HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical experience and expertise a plus.
