National Sales Manager –
Ventamatic
The role of the National Sales Manager is to manage all assigned accounts and develop and execute sales strategies for all of the brands, product lines, and distribution channels of the company. This position requires strong leadership and is crucial in setting the pace for profitable, sustainable growth of Ventamatic, reporting to the Vice President of Sales.
Responsibilities- Secure new business within the retail, industrial, and distribution channels.
- Seek out new opportunities and channels.
- Directly manage select retail and distribution customer relationships.
- Oversee strategic planning for product introductions and key customer development, coordinating with engineering, purchasing, and the president.
- Manage all major accounts, setting annual forecasts and sales targets and coordinating with purchasing to deliver accurate demand forecasts.
- Create a culture of success, ongoing business, and strong achievement.
- Directly manage pricing, annual price increases, and maintenance of price lists and off‑sheet pricing, collaborating with controller, business analysis, and the president to determine and execute pricing strategies.
- Set promotional calendars, including pre‑season sales, specials, and inventory close‑out specials, working with purchasing to monitor overstocked inventory and plan promotions.
- Lead profitability reporting for all customers, planning and executing pricing plans to meet goals.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for each major account; manage weekly, monthly, and annual roll‑ups for the major accounts division.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly conference calls.
- Oversee major account trade shows and events, including sample orders and staffing.
