Summary

Balfour Beatty Construction seeks a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager to join our team in Fort Worth, TX
. This position is responsible for implementing the company’s safety and loss prevention programs. It ensures that job-site employees and subcontractors are trained in all safety protocols, including federal/state regulations, to prevent accidents and injuries. All work is local, so no overnight travel is involved.

Essential Functions

Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs, maintain safety statistics, perform accident investigations, and manage safety personnel and consultants. Specific tasks include:

• Conduct jobsite visits and safety audits as required
• Prepare project safety start-up packets, including new-hire and compliance materials
• Assist superintendents with project-specific safety plans
• Maintain MSDS books and ensure they are available on-site
• Address environmental and hazardous material issues
• Track safety training for project personnel
• Ensure supervisors have up-to-date first aid certifications
• Maintain safety records
• Oversee the site’s drug testing program
• Represent the company at safety meetings and industry associations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety & Environmental Health or Construction Management/Engineering
• 5+ years of commercial construction safety experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
• OSHA 30-hour certification required

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in commercial construction safety
