Position Summary

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Project Safety Coordinator (PSC) to support the safety management needs of large‑scale building construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and support compliance with on‑site health and safety programs.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Lead site safety meetings.
  • Maintain records of safety inspections, incidents, and training.
  • Help ensure the implementation and maintenance of hazard communication, PPE, and emergency response protocols.
Job Skills & Qualifications
  • 7 years full‑time work experience in building construction safety.
  • Must have 5 years of UT System project experience.
  • Must have at least 5 years of field experience in construction safety management experience.
  • Preferably CSP (Certified Safety Professional) Certified.
  • Preferably CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) Certified.
  • Must have knowledge and experience for Emergency First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
Requirements
  • Must have practical knowledge, working experience, and documented continuing education in all of the following:
  • Fall protection
  • Scaffolds (ground supported and suspended)
  • Excavation/trench
  • Confined space (permit/non‑permit)
  • Crane operations
  • Electrical
  • Fire protection and prevention
  • Lockout/tagout
  • Basic crane rigging
  • Respiratory protection
  • Demonstrate continuing safety training as a PSA.
  • Certification of completion for the following:
  • OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry).
  • OSHA 500 (Trainer Course for Construction) or OSHA 502 (Update for the Construction Industry Outreach Trainer.)
  • The certificate must be dated no later than 2020.
