Compensation: $28.00 - $38.00 / hour
DescriptionThe Foreman plays a crucial role in leading and managing assigned design and construction projects/teams. Reporting to the Superintendent, the Foreman is responsible for achieving the company’s objectives, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring project goals are met within the established schedule and budget.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain construction schedules aligned with project objectives.
- Hire, train, supervise, and delegate tasks to crew members.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with quality standards on construction sites.
- Maintain regular communication with property owners, tenants, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure successful completion.
- Assess productivity rates and provide progress reports to supervisors.
- Review and interpret project plans, drawings, specifications, & blueprints.
- Organize work schedules and manage crew attendance.
- Oversee the operation of machinery and equipment on-site.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to crew members, contractors, and workers based on project priorities.
- Promote and enforce the safe use of all tools and safety gear, including helmets and goggles.
- Manage team performance to maintain project schedules.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and best practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents.
- Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
- Effective problem‑solving skills to address routine issues.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and guidelines.
- Demonstrated leadership and warm managerial style.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or related role.
- Demonstrated leadership and the ability to drive projects to timely completion within budget.
- Experience in hiring, training, and managing workers.
- Skilled in sourcing and overseeing construction tools and materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record (able to be insured by carrier).
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
