Construction Safety Professional (CHST Preferred)

· 4-Month Contract (Night Shift)

This role is a project-based contract position expected to run for approximately 4 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project needs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Safety Professional to support our field operations in the Greater Fort Worth area. The ideal candidate brings strong construction safety knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation. A CHST certification is strongly preferred, but experienced candidates working toward the designation are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits
  • Lead job hazard analysis (JHAs) and assist field teams with task planning
  • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and company policies
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Support subcontractor safety coordination and enforcement
  • Maintain accurate documentation, inspections, and safety records
  • Promote a culture of safety through positive engagement with field personnel
Qualifications
  • CHST certification (preferred) or currently pursuing CHST
  • 1+ years of safety experience in construction, industrial, or environmental operations
  • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 510/500 considered a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices
  • Ability to communicate confidently with both field and management teams
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites in the Fort Worth area
Work Schedule & Expectations

This position follows a night-shift schedule to support active project operations. Applicants must be able to work:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:00 PM – 4:00 AM
  • Saturday & Sunday: 12-hour shifts (day or night depending on project needs)

This role requires consistent attendance, reliable transportation to Fort Worth–area job sites, and the ability to perform safety duties during overnight operations.
