Estimator​/Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Estimator / Project Manager to support the successful delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to completion. The role will involve interpreting client requirements, reviewing specifications and drawings, preparing accurate estimates and quotations, and coordinating the transition from tender stage into production or delivery. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are appropriately scoped, competitively priced and delivered to the required standards.

Key responsibilities will include assessing project costs, preparing bills of materials and labour estimates, obtaining and evaluating supplier quotations, identifying risks and maintaining accurate pricing records. You will manage project programmes, budgets and variations, monitor progress against agreed milestones, and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate will also coordinate procurement and scheduling activities, resolve issues promptly, oversee quality and health and safety requirements, and support the preparation of project documentation, handover information and final accounts.

You will have previous experience in an estimating and project management role, ideally within a construction, engineering, manufacturing, fit-out or related environment. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts are essential. You should be confident using Microsoft Office and estimating or project management software, with excellent organisational, numerical and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise competing deadlines and build effective working relationships is important.

A methodical, proactive approach, close attention to detail and the confidence to negotiate with clients and suppliers will be highly valued. Relevant technical, construction or project management qualifications would be advantageous, although practical experience and a proven record of delivering successful projects will also be considered.
