About the Position
This position will provide overall direction to Southcliff’s mission in the area of Worship. The pastor will develop a strategic worship plan and collaborate with other pastors and staff to ensure its implementation. This plan will encompass corporate and personal worship opportunities at all levels, as well as leadership development in areas such as music, arts, and technology support for worship.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate worship strategy for the church.
- Create strategies to promote growth in personal worship.
- Recruit, enlist, and train adult worship team members.
- Plan and execute weekly corporate worship services.
- Organize special corporate worship events.
- Lead weekly and special worship services.
- Recruit, train, and oversee worship and music leaders, both volunteers and paid staff.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Coordinate age-appropriate music and worship arts programs.
- Recruit and train leaders for worship music and arts programs.
- Collaborate with other Strategy Pastors on church-wide events.
- Perform ministerial duties as required.
Supervisory Duties and Relationships:
- Supervise Adult Worship Organization leadership.
- Oversee Worship Tech employees.
- Manage volunteers and staff involved in worship music and arts programs.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities following Southcliff’s policies and applicable laws, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline.
