Position Purpose
Leads implementation of K-12 instructional support, curriculum, assessment, and professional learning for a specific Content Area. Coordinates delivery of ongoing instructional support to campuses through professional learning, coaching, and in‑classroom support with curriculum, instruction, assessment, and student‑centered, equity‑driven instructional practices. Leads data‑driven conversations to support student and teacher growth. Collaborates with campus administrators in the alignment of campus instructional practices to increase student achievement and campus outcomes/goals.
Supports highest‑needs campuses across the District as an equity strategy designed to improve outcomes of our most marginalized students and communities.

- Provides instructional leadership for assigned campuses.
- Leads team of Instructional Coaches in delivering ongoing instructional support for K‑12.
- Builds capacity of campus administrators, lead content teachers, and classroom teachers across the District.
- Builds capacity of Content Instructional Coaches to ensure consistent instructional support K‑12.
- Designs, develops, and maintains district‑level curriculum and assessments for grade levels and courses.
- Provides leadership in the identification, evaluation, adoption, and integration of effective educational resources into the curriculum.
- Contributes to the development of district wide professional learning plan based on data trends and District initiatives.
- Creates professional learning for assigned campuses based on identified instructional needs.
- Designs, delivers, and supports presentations for professional learning offerings as determined by instructional needs.
- Supports teachers with instructional needs through observation/feedback, modeling, co‑teaching, coaching, and professional learning.
- Collaborates with teachers on planning and preparing standards‑aligned lessons.
- Collaborates with campus instructional coaches and campus leadership teams.
- Debriefs and conducts professional conversations with teachers regarding instructional delivery.
- Collaborates with other Content Coordinators and Content Coaches across the Teaching & Learning organization.
- Ensures accurate and timely records to document campus support.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset in working with and building strong relationships with teachers.
- Attends department meetings, trainings, and professional learning as assigned.
- Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work area and promptly reports any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
