Position Purpose
Assists with developing, implementing, and evaluating program goals, objectives, operations, and evaluation criteria for Fort Worth After School (FWAS) enrichment programs. Develops strategies and activities for students that will provide opportunities beyond the normal school day to establish or expand activities that will (1) provide opportunities for academic enrichment, including tutorial services and/or homework assistance, (2) offer students a broad array of additional programs, activities, and services designed to reinforce and complement regular academic programming, and (3) offer families of students service opportunities for literacy and related educational development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinates program implementation with the program Director, Site Supervisors, participating campus administrators and staff, and service providers.
- Identifies problems and generates solutions through collaborative discussions in the monthly committee meetings.
- Develops and implements programs that support core school day academics.
- Cultivates and delivers marketing strategies, communication goals, and objectives for assigned community learning centers.
- Ensures program variety remains unique and challenging.
- Responds to concerns of participating campus administrators and provider organization site supervisors.
- Works with the external and internal evaluators; prepares and provides reports as required.
- Establishes and monitors budget for program operations.
- Selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff, and makes recommendations relative to assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal.

- Knowledge of federal and state guidelines and District policies and procedures regarding education and students.
- Knowledge of program development, marketing, implementation, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of local youth service organizations and resources.
- Skill in program management, evaluation, program planning, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Ability to manage large grants (i.e., over $1M), fiscal budgets, information systems, and data reporting.
- Ability to use software to create spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in written forms.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
- Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
