• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required;
• Major in Education or a related field to subject being taught preferred.

• Valid Texas Teaching Certification in the subject and level of assignment;
• Acceptance in an approved Alternative Certification Program (ACP) and have passed the required prerequisite examinations for subject area and grade-level.

Working at inner-city schools with diverse student populations preferred.

• Bilingual (English/Spanish oral and written) or ESL Certification preferred;
• If Teaching Core Subject Area to English Learners, Bilingual (English/Spanish oral and written) or ESL Certification is required.
