Industrial Engineer at Bell Flight
Location:
Fort Worth, Texas. Position is onsite. Relocation not available.
The Industrial Engineering team focuses on process optimization, lean initiatives, and operational excellence, driving continuous improvement and supporting operational strategy within Bell Flight.
Responsibilities- Plan and manage capital projects.
- Assist in development and execution of operations strategy.
- Design and simulate production layouts and processes.
- Analyze time, demand, and flow to improve efficiency and ergonomics.
- Track KPIs, develop dashboards, and support policy standardization.
- Optimize material handling, equipment uses, and floor space utilization.
- Implement lean projects and continuous improvement efforts.
- Recommend equipment or workflow enhancements based on models and observations.
- Support factory readiness for future rate increases or program transitions.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related disciplines.
- At least 2 years of industrial engineering experience in aerospace or related manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience analyzing and implementing plant layout changes that improved flow and cost savings preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and influence without authority.
- DMAIC process knowledge (Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification) preferred.
- Experience self‑initiating tasks and developing scope, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission‑critical objectives.
- 9/80 work schedule – off every other Friday.
