The selected individual will perform detailed structural analysis and design, ensure compliance with project and industry standards, and collaborate across engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to deliver complete and accurate project documentation. This position offers an opportunity to work with cutting‑edge design tools and bring all engineering functions in‑house, supporting the company’s continued expansion and commitment to quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review customer specifications, design criteria, and drawings for conformance and accuracy.
  • Utilize engineering principles and software tools to analyze and design structures, attachments, and appurtenances per client and project requirements.
  • Prepare and review design calculations, cost estimates, and material takeoffs to support project execution.
  • Coordinate customer revisions with internal drafting, estimating, and project management teams to ensure alignment across departments.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and drafting teams to clarify design intent and resolve ambiguities during shop drawing development.
  • Evaluate and report the impact of design changes to project managers; assist in resolving field or fabrication issues.
  • Review peer designs for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of internal design tools, templates, and engineering standards.
  • Participate in site reviews, technical evaluations, and client or coordination meetings as required.
  • Stay current with evolving industry codes, structural best practices, and design methodologies.
  • Provide occasional technical support to sales and estimating teams for feasibility reviews and preliminary engineering.
