Description
This position is for a Procurement Engineer, Staff on the Supplier Performance team within Global Supply Chain Management. This position will work as a subject matter expert for aircraft metallic tubing to resolve emerging and complex technical issues affecting component on-time delivery and part shortages.
This position works with Global Supply Chain Managers, Technical Subcontract Managers (TSM), Capacity/Rate Readiness, Supplier Risk/Performance Analysis, Supplier Quality, Design Engineering and others to identify global supply chain disruption risks and mitigate existing issues. Supports root cause corrective action (RCCA), supplier evaluations, technical evaluations for suppliers. Supports development of improvement strategies and mitigation plans.
This position is in Fort Worth, TX and requires 30-35% travel to work with suppliers at their facilities, including some potential international travel.
Basic Qualifications- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering experience plus education
- In‑depth knowledge of aircraft tubing manufacturing
- Root Cause Corrective Action experience
- Experience with military specifications and standards
- Previous Global Supply Chain experience
- Experience working with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure all procured materials meet quality and performance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical discussions with suppliers, internal teams, and government representatives
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part‑time Remote Telework:
The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
