Quality Engineer ; Level 4

Description:

• Provide Quality Engineering capabilities to support Delivery Operations activities throughout the entire build process spanning multiple Production Directorates.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of quality engineers, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety is maintained throughout the program.
• Will be expected to build and maintain professional working relationships with teams across the F-35 program.
• Identify, pursue, and track opportunities for process and product improvement across build areas.
• Provide support for Action Requests (AR) from field customers, participate in Corrective Action Request (CAR) activities, and lead Quality Assurance Record (QAR) functions that address product nonconformances, Lost Tools and FOD incidents. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
• In depth understanding of statistical and data analytic skills.
• Experience with Minitab, Tableau, and/or Business Objects for data analytic/dashboard creation.
• An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications for development of quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for inspection and test of manufactured products.
• Ability to adapt business processes into automated tools and perform specialized data investigations to support Root-Cause Corrective-Action (RCCA) efforts.

• Master’s degree
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Trained and/or Certified.
• Experience with Product-Quality methods either from the quality or manufacturing perspective.
• Ability to effectively navigate complex product and process-related requirements to validate nonconformances and develop corrective actions in coordination with DCMA and Production colleagues.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Systems, ALIS/DOMMS, Shop Floor Manager (SFM) or similar manufacturing management systems, Product Data Management (PDM) or similar engineering database, Quality Assurance Documentation System (QADS), Apriso or similar system
• Conduct/coordinate process and product evaluations and assessments.
• Experience in leading a team of quality engineers.
• F-35 production operations experience.

This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
