Description
This position is with the historic Skunk Works in Fort Worth, TX. We are looking for world‑class talent to join the 75+ year tradition of creating advanced aircraft. The candidate will work in an industry consortium to develop a government reference architecture for Mission Systems autonomy software, collaborate on a team developing software autonomy solutions for UAV contingency management and related items, use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop architecture for future systems compliant with required standards, and operate in a dynamic environment requiring consistent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Work in an industry consortium to develop a government reference architecture for Mission Systems autonomy software.
- Collaborate on a team developing software autonomy solutions for UAV contingency management and related items.
- Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop architecture for future systems compliant with required standards.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in an Engineering discipline:
Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree in Computer Science or Software. - Strong understanding of systems engineering principles or closely related engineering discipline.
- Experience with MBSE processes, principles, and tools to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Demonstrate effective listening and communication skills while thriving in cross‑functional, cross‑industry team environments.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have or be able to obtain a final Secret clearance.
- General experience with Cameo and Teamwork Cloud.
- Fundamental understanding of MBSE Languages and Frameworks:
SysML, DoDAF, UPDM, UAF. - Experience in adhering to processes, procedures, and other complex formal technical documentation.
- Experience applying Systems Engineering to Mission Systems and Ground System software development.
- Experience developing UAV / Drone vehicles.
- Air Vehicle Mission Systems experience.
- Ground Station experience.
Clearance Level: Secret. This position requires a U.S. government security clearance. You must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.
