Description
Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Subsystem Installation Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) in Fort Worth, Texas. A successful candidate will apply technical expertise in developing solutions to aircraft equipment and systems installation design problems.
Responsibilities- Design the installation of aircraft Equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware;
Design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, Environmental Control Systems, and Electrical Systems;
Design installation of aircraft Fluid and Electrical routing and associated bracketry. - Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives - optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations.
- Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts and systems and harness interfaces.
- Create Build-to-Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solid Works, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
- Experience creating and/or modifying drawings.
- Experience with aircraft equipment installation design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with aircraft fluid or electrical installation design and troubleshooting.
- Experience with 3DX or CATIA V5.
- Experience with metallic design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
This position requires a government security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen and this position is located at a facility that requires special access. Clearance Level: Secret.
Schedule4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Shift: First.
