Position Summary

As we continue to expand our footprint across the state and beyond, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves designing complex civil engineering projects from initial conception through to permitting and to provide support to our construction team as needed through to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and the capacity to mentor junior engineers while managing client relationships and project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Experience

  • Project Leadership & Management:
    Lead and manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards.
  • Design & Analysis:
    Perform complex design calculations, create detailed engineering plans, specifications, and reports using relevant software and tools.
  • Mentorship & Supervision:
    Supervise, train, and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Coordinate with municipalities, counties, conservation districts, utility companies and other agencies for plan review and approvals.
  • Quality Control & Compliance:
    Ensure all project designs and processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Conduct thorough quality control reviews of all deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering.
  • Licensure:
    Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas is required.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in relevant engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Micro Station, HEC-RAS, etc.). Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.
  • Soft Skills:

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and project management capabilities, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Specialized experience in Land and Site Development, Storm Water, Grading, Public and Private Utilities / Water / Sewer Lines, Sewage Lift Stations...

Additional Expectations

  • Work from office in downtown Ft. Worth, Texas and lead the engineering team as senior manager
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Confers with Client, Contractors and other engineers to clarify and resolve problems; prepares design modifications, as appropriate.
  • Develops scope of work.
  • Acts as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
    Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, effectively communicating project progress, addressing concerns, and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Bidding & Proposals:
    Assist in preparing project proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates for new business opportunities.
  • Site Visits & Inspections:
    Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
