Black & Veatch has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager and Technical Advisor position focused on water and wastewater projects and programs across Texas and the central region. Our U.S. Texas and central region water solutions business has seen consistent growth driven by our clients’ needs to address challenges stemming from population growth, aging infrastructure, system reliability and resilience concerns, the need to improve operational efficiency, water quality regulations, circular water/one‑water initiatives, and the use of “data” to help guide decision making. This position represents a strategic business opportunity for Black & Veatch to help the company grow its market share by providing world‑class water & wastewater infrastructure planning and design services for large projects and programs.
- Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction. Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision‑making. Provide oversight of the program schedule and budget using Black & Veatch’s internal processes and manage large inter‑discipline teams of internal and subconsultant resources.
- Lead a team that provides technical solutions and differentiation focused on water supply/treatment/distribution, wastewater collection/treatment, biosolids management, recycled water, water quality regulations and utility infrastructure systems.
- Provide recommendations on client’s processes, organization, and readiness to embark on major programs and alternative project delivery.
- Support the team’s use of risk‑based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs.
- Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs and to identify innovative solutions to maximize benefits to municipalities and utilities.
- Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development.
- Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities.
- Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision makers in Texas.
- Help mentor professionals and grow the team by identifying high quality candidate and recruits.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
