Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated, hands-on Senior Practice Lead to expand our Federal practice in Dallas/Fort Worth.
Responsibilities- Manage, lead, and deliver large USACE Civil Works projects and programs, including water resource projects and flood mitigation programs.
- Operate with integrity and sound business principles.
- Provide vision, business planning, and strategy.
- Establish goals.
- Build and maintain positive client relationships.
- Maintain open communication with partners and team.
- Grow and lead a land development practice.
- 12+ years of relevant experience managing Civil Works projects in the Federal space.
- Discipline expertise preferred in structural, mechanical, or civil engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Extensive client contacts and relationships with agencies like Army Corps of Engineers, NAVFAC, DHS, US Coast Guard, National Guard, or other Federal agencies.
- Strong technical skills with AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Experience in business development, including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting.
- Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff, and allocate resources effectively.
- Demonstrated profitability management of civil works projects.
