Job Description
As a Systems Engineer Manager within the Air System Analysis & Verification (ASA&V) organization, you will lead a mixed team of systems engineers, software engineers, and other roles, manage talent, grow the team to support business needs, and perform technical or programmatic leadership tasks.
- Perform dual roles as functional leader of a group of engineers and as an experienced engineer leading a project or performing technical tasks supporting the ASA&V organization.
- Manage talent, including staffing planning, knowledge sharing, career development, performance reviews, training, and recruiting.
- Build relationships with team members, direct reports, and stakeholders.
- Support development of tools supporting F-35 data analysis activities.
- Support maintenance and implementation of data pipelines across F-35 and other programs.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Aeronautical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics) or equivalent experience and education that demonstrates a strong foundation in technical principles and practices.
- Team leadership experience.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Systems Engineering Process.
- Experience with the Agile process (scrum master, product owner, and/or Jira).
- Experience mentoring other team members.
- Experience developing software using Python.
- Experience with Big Data Architectures/Environments.
- Experience developing and implementing Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence infrastructure.
- Formal leadership experience.
- Experience performing and/or leading data analysis activities.

Compensation & BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435 (non‑metropolitan) and $147,700 - $255,990 (metropolitan). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
The position is incentive plan eligible.
