TxDOT's Fort Worth District is looking for a Schematic Design Project Manager based in Fort Worth, TX. All the training and tools will be provided, and we have lots of opportunities to grow within the agency. A Day in the Life of an Transportation Engineer III
- Coordinate and provide design direction on multiple schematic roadway projects
- Conduct reviews on deliverables received from consultants
- Coordinate with government officials and other stakeholders
- Monitor project scope, schedule and budget
- Negotiate and review consultant contracts for execution
- Other duties as assigned

Performs advanced and complex transportation engineering work in one or more functional areas such as planning, project development and design, construction, transportation/traffic operations and/or maintenance. Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Work requires contact with governmental officials and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives.
