Sales & Use Tax Accountant

We have partnered with an IT Services company that is looking for a Driven Sales & Use Tax Accountant. This is a manual environment and will be handling a heavy load of reconciliations.

• Accurately and timely file indirect taxes, including sales tax, VAT, GST, and other applicable local taxes.
• Research and ensure adherence to tax regulations at the state, local, and international levels.
• Reconcile all tax-related general‑ledger accounts, such as property tax, sales and use tax, corporate income tax, and VAT.
• Respond to tax‑related inquiries and support audits conducted by internal teams, external auditors, and global tax authorities.
• Stay informed on changes in tax legislation, evaluate potential impacts on the business, and communicate key updates to leadership.
• Execute month‑end tax close activities, including preparing accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Contribute to global tax planning efforts, including transfer‑pricing assessments and documentation of intercompany transactions.
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams across IT, Sales, and Finance to support business initiatives.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of tax automation tools and ERP system improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA a plus).
• 2+ years of tax experience, Sales & Use Tax experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
