Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth (THSW) is a 222‑bed full‑service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24‑hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit. Texas Health Southwest Fort Worth, which has been serving Tarrant County residents since 1987, has 1,100 employees, 120 volunteers, and more than 600 physicians on its medical staff.

THSW Certified Surgical Tech’s will assist in some incredible robotic procedures to include urologic, gynecologic, and general surgery. They also will assist in 10 OR suites providing services in orthopedic, ortho/spine, podiatry, plastics, vascular, gynecology, urology and general surgery.

• High School Diploma or equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 – required or preferred
• Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, vocational nurse program, or completion of a military training program in surgical technology – required or preferred

• 1 year current operating room experience – preferred

• CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) and graduate of an accredited surgical tech program – required
• CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 – required
• CST – Certified Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) or TS‑C (NCCT) and graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology – 2 years required
• LVN – Licensed Vocational Nurse – required
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly – required
