RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• 2 weekend shifts required biweekly

• No on-call responsibilities

• Maintain 2:1 nurse to patient ratio (2 patients per 1 RN)

• Must have 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any critical care specialty)

• Ventilator experience required along with arterial/central line and chest tube management skills

• CVICU specific experience preferred, especially CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella

• Work with specialized equipment including GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT (Next Stage), Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators

• Use Meditech EMR system (experience preferred)

• Perform hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz procedures, arterial lines, and chest tube management

• Float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU as needed

• Royal blue scrubs required

• BSN and CCRN certification preferred

• Must be a team player who works well with collaborative care approach

This healthcare facility operates a 16-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit located on the 3rd floor of the main building. The CVICU maintains high staffing standards with 45 all-RN staff members and provides specialized cardiac care with advanced monitoring and life support equipment. The unit focuses on collaborative patient care and maintains excellent nurse-to-patient ratios to ensure optimal outcomes for cardiovascular patients requiring intensive care services.
