Position DetailsThis full‑time faculty position is on‑campus and in‑person. Texas Christian University’s Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences (HCNHS) invites applications for a 9‑month position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Nursing. An earned Ph.D. in Nursing or other health‑related field is required. Candidates with established and/or ongoing external funding are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference is given to individuals with an established program of research in the areas of wellness and chronic disease, health disparities, or population health.
We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing in the areas of behavioral health, adult medical‑surgical, clinical reasoning, and professional issues. Broad clinical expertise in adult medical‑surgical, and/or simulation is preferred. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain a current, valid, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Students assume considerable responsibility for their own learning and are expected to become increasingly independent and competent in the exercise of clinical judgment, clinical reasoning, and the application of the nursing process to a variety of problems and situations.
As a result of strong partnerships with regional health care systems, our clinical placements allow students to apply their knowledge under the guidance of experienced faculty and healthcare professionals. We emphasize the importance of interprofessional collaboration and global engagement, preparing students to work effectively within healthcare teams and make meaningful contributions to the health and well‑being of individuals and communities across a variety of settings.
