Overview

Envision Imaging is looking to add a Multi-Modality Technologist to our team to float between the Tarrant County, Texas region. Monday – Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM based on coverage needs. Position Pay Range $39.82 - $51.34. Pay differential for travel. To honor long-term commitment, this role includes a $10,000 retention bonus.

Summary/Objective

The Multi-Modality Technologist - Float performs MRI procedures, CT and X-Ray examinations according to protocol and age specific needs including patient preparation in a flexible float capacity. Positions patient and performs scans using proper technical factors, maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit. Float Multi-Modality Technologists receive an additional float premium and retention bonus paid upon completion of agreed upon term.

Responsibilities
  • Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
  • Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
  • Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
  • Transfers images to other locations as needed.
  • Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
  • Mantains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
  • Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Job Qualifications
    • Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
    • Two plus years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred
    • Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray – preferred
    • Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
    • Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
    • Ability to excel in a very fast-paced team environment
    • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
    Education/Certifications
    • Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
    • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification
    • Registry in Computed Tomography (CT)
    • Registry in Radiography (R)
    • Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
    • Current CPR certification

    Physiological & Travel
    • Ability to travel within 35 to 40 miles from the home center. Eligible for mileage reimbursement when floating to other centers.
