Envision Imaging is adding a Full‑Time Patient Care Technician III to our Hulen office! Monday – Friday 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM | Position Pay Range $21.17 – $25.50

Summary/Objective:

The Patient Care Technician III (PCT III) is dedicated to ensuring the patient has an exceptional care experience while in our center by meeting all patient needs. The PCT III will assist the technologist through smooth patient transitions, continually engaging with the patient about exam expectations and wait times, preparing the patient for contrast studies, initiating IVs as needed, and providing medical attention for contrast reactions under radiologist guidance.

The role also involves completing clinical pre‑screening forms, conducting clinical history interviews, performing advanced screening interviews for technologist review, coordinating with referring providers for updated orders, validating prior reports and images, and managing miscellaneous duties such as stocking supplies.

Essential Functions
  • Performs detailed clinical screening of patients for technologist review and informs technologist of any contraindicated responses that could interfere with patient safety.
  • Assists patients with securing valuables and changing into proper attire for the examination.
  • Initiates IV for contrast studies and provides medical attention for contrast reactions under radiologist guidance, monitors completion, retrieves lab values, and has working knowledge of normal ranges.
  • Prepares rooms and non‑sterile trays as needed to assist technologists/radiologist.
  • Ensures safety procedures are followed at all times in all security zones of the Center.
  • Supports technologists in preparing patients for the exam, helping patients onto and off the imaging table, and escorting them back to the lobby or waiting area.
  • Assists with the Priors Management Grid (receiving, validating, importing prior outside studies).
  • Prepares images and paperwork to be sent for interpretation and submits images through the PACS system as needed.
  • Contacts referring provider office to obtain updated orders and clarifies orders when necessary.
  • Collaborates with the Patient Scheduling Coordinator when there is a change in exam/prep for the scheduled patient.

    Job Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications /

    Experience:

    • One plus year of administrative experience in a healthcare environment – radiology preferred.
    • Experience placing IVs is highly preferred and ability to provide medical attention for contrast reactions under radiologist guidance.
    • Detail oriented, self‑motivated, problem solver and team player.
    • Ability to excel in a very fast‑pace team environment.
    • Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectations.

    Education/Certifications:

    • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent (GED) – continuing education preferred.
    • Active CPR certification.
    • Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant, Paramedic, and/or EMT training is preferred.
