• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,680–$1,800 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events, heart failure, or cardiac surgeries
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, cardiac drips, and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery, and discharge planning
• Accurately document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
