- High School Diploma
- Food Handler’s Permit
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with little or no supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks well.
- Basic understanding of normal and therapeutic diets and food safety.
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working with a licensed dietician, preferred.
- Diet Technician Registered (DTR), preferred.
- Interview residents, obtain food preferences, and complete Resident Food Profile.
- Update resident’s food preference into tray card database.
- Refer residents to dietician for any nutritional or eating issues.
