American Traveler seeks a Surgical Tech First Assist for a hospital Surgery department, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current CST/ORT certification.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Tech First Assist
- Current CST certification required
- State license required if applicable
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC, not expiring within 30 days of start
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Responsibilities
- Hospital surgery department setting
- Contract position with scheduled shifts of 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week assignment
- Function as first assist during surgical procedures, supporting the surgical team
- Maintain sterile technique and assist with patient positioning and draping as needed
- Does not accept local candidates
- 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
