Addison Group is seeking an experienced HR Generalist on behalf of our client, a prominent sporting goods organization that has supported independent retail stores across North America since 1956. This role will help sustain a collaborative work environment as the organization continues to grow and transition.
Job DescriptionThe HR Generalist will oversee all HR-related functions, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. This position is ideal for an HR professional with strong organizational skills who can handle a variety of responsibilities in a supportive, family-like environment.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Management:
Administer payroll through ADP and facilitate the onboarding process for new hires. - Employee Relations:
Serve as a link between management and employees to support effective communication. - Benefits Administration:
Manage and administer employee benefits, including insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. - Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all labor laws and industry regulations; handle census reporting and payroll audits. - Personnel Records:
Maintain up-to-date employee records and documentation. - Recruitment:
Manage job postings, participate in interviews, and facilitate offer letters and pre-employment screenings.
- 4-5 years of HR Generalist experience, including payroll and benefits administration.
- OR 2-3 years of HR Manager experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field highly preferred, but would consider experience in lieu.
- Familiarity with ADP, or similar HR software.
