Requirements:

  • Strong critical-thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to evaluate a situation and provide thoughtful, practical recommendations.
  • Comfortable coaching managers at different levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work with increasing independence and recognize when issues should be escalated to senior HR leadership.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees, providing guidance on employee relations, workplace concerns, policies, performance, and day‑to‑day people matters.
  • Coach managers on effective interviewing and selection practices while helping coordinate pre‑employment activities, approvals, background screening, and other hiring requirements.
  • Partner with recruiting and compensation teams as needed throughout the hiring and offer process.
  • Support a positive new‑hire experience by facilitating HR orientation and following up with employees and managers to promote successful onboarding and integration.
  • Provide counsel to managers, supervisors, and employees on workplace issues and help identify practical, consistent solutions.
  • Assist HR leadership with investigations involving employee complaints, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, unfair treatment, or other workplace concerns.
  • Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures while helping ensure consistent application across assigned business groups.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations, escalating potential risks or concerns when appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing HR policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Partner with management on performance management and corrective action, helping ensure issues are documented and addressed consistently and appropriately.
  • Gather and review documentation associated with employee performance concerns and involuntary separations and provide recommendations to HR leadership.
  • Coordinate the exit process for departing employees, including exit interviews, and identify recurring themes, retention concerns, or potential organizational issues.
  • Assist with unemployment claims and related documentation to help manage organizational exposure.
  • Support HR initiatives and special projects, which may include job description development, annual performance and merit cycles, employee programs/events, reporting, and workforce analysis.
