Data Analyst, Data Science Manager
What You Will Be Doing
The selected candidate will perform data analytics in support of F‑35 Sustainment and will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to develop immersive stories that answer business questions. Using proven and sound statistical methods, the analyst draws insights from data and translates those insights into action that drives business results. Data analysts are resourceful and able to find novel data sources to enrich their analysis, applying mathematical and statistical methods to business and risk‑management problems.
- Work as a technical team lead and provide guidance to the team in performing analysis to establish data sets for sustainment modeling activities.
- Support and lead coordination and development of problem statements, modeling approaches, and ground rules and assumptions (GR&A).
- Collaborate with leadership, customers, and cross‑functional teams to drive data‑driven decision‑making.
- Program manage key tasks and resources to achieve cost and schedule objectives.
- Develop interactive data analytics dashboards to monitor operational performance.
- Monitor key metrics and ensure performance against defined benchmarks and KPIs.
- Manage the quality assurance of data scraping, query databases for stakeholder requests, and triage data issues for timely resolution.
- Analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences, and prepare insights in narrative or visual form, including dashboards.
- Set up and maintain data processes and new analytics capabilities.
- Produce and track key performance indicators.
- Formulate functional and technical requirements from business problems.
- Interact with the customer and senior leadership as the subject‑matter expert to present and work through data issues and discrepancies.
- Familiar with working in a SAFe agile framework environment and in a product owner support role.
- Define technical solutions against business opportunities.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deconstruct complex operations into component data problems for distributed work across teams.
- Create executive‑level presentations including summary and talking points.
- Apply scientific methods for testing, debugging, problem resolution, and root‑cause analysis.
- Experience with HANA and/or Oracle.
- Adapt business processes into automated tools.
- Collect and compile datasets from disparate sources into the required data structure.
- Perform analysis via multi‑criteria decision modeling, including life‑cycle cost analysis, performance & cost trade‑offs, and business case analysis.
- Reconciliation process experience.
- Proficiency with the MS Office tool suite.

Ability to Work RemotelyPart‑time Remote Telework:
The selected employee will work part of their schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
