About the RoleLead our charge into the future as an AI-driven organization by transforming our client’s data assets into a real-time enterprise. This role is pivotal in designing and deploying AI solutions that optimize railroad operations, enhance safety, and drive innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesAI Development & Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement AI models tailored to railroad operations (predictive maintenance, scheduling, safety monitoring).
- Build scalable AI systems to analyze real-time data from rail infrastructure, rolling stock, and IoT devices.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Collect, preprocess, and clean data from sensors, GPS, and maintenance logs for AI model training.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify operational trends.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines for AI applications.
Optimization & Automation
- Fine-tune algorithms for train scheduling, route planning, and fuel efficiency.
- Support automation of operational processes using AI-powered tools.
System Integration & Deployment
- Collaborate with engineering and Dev Ops teams to integrate AI solutions into production.
- Ensure compliance with railroad industry standards.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor deployed models for accuracy and scalability.
- Troubleshoot, retrain, and update models as needed.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enable AI-driven solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Research & Innovation
- Stay current on emerging AI technologies.
- Propose innovative methodologies for complex railroad challenges.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- 6+ years in AI/ML development, data science, or software engineering.
- Technical
Skills:- Proficiency in Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with ML frameworks (Tensor Flow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Familiarity with data engineering tools (Hadoop, Spark, AWS S3, PySpark) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Databricks).
- Strong knowledge of SQL/No
SQL databases. - Expertise in MLOps ecosystem and generative AI models.
- Experience with GenAI tools (Lang Chain, Lang Graph), vector databases, embeddings, and agentic architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work without future sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
- Experience with predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, or industrial IoT.
- Knowledge of railroad operations or logistics.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and production deployment.
- Background in transportation, supply chain, or infrastructure industries.
