- 1+ year of experience building or integrating AI models in products, ideally with LLM fine tuning, neural search, or content personalization.
- Knowledge of agentic frameworks for GenAI applications (this is where we want them to move into eventually).
- Founder or founding engineer experience – able to build from scratch.
- Bachelor's degree in the U.S., ideally from a great university but flexible (UT Austin, Berkeley, Cornell, etc.).
- Strong in Python and experience with databases like Postgres.
- Experience with data pipeline design for sensitive or large‑scale data.
- Experience with AI and ML systems like data vector embeddings, RAG architectures, or deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, JAX).
- Familiar with a frontend language/framework like Node.js.
- Experience deploying AI infra services on AWS (or similar), containerization, and microservices.
- Someone who is creative and wants to work with everyone hands‑on to build the product.
- Strong communicator in English and ability to work with the founders and other stakeholders.
