The IT Business System Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and supporting enterprise information systems that align with business objectives. This role partners with business stakeholders, project leadership, and technical teams to define requirements, develop system solutions, mitigate risk, and ensure successful implementation, adoption, and ongoing performance.

• Analyze system and business requirements by identifying problems, evaluating processes, and defining technical and functional specifications.
• Design, develop, and test system standards, architectures, and solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, and IT teams to ensure solutions are feasible, consistent, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Design and support new computer systems, system frameworks, and enhancements to existing platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and application issues across environments.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies related to system design, implementation, and operation.
• Create, maintain, and publish system documentation, guidelines, and operational manuals.
• Plan and deliver training sessions and workshops on system processes and tools.
• Conduct regular system reviews and assessments; produce reports identifying efficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Structure, prioritize, and communicate business and system requirements to stakeholders for review and approval.
• Define application and workflow issues by engaging clients and evaluating procedures and operational processes.
• Develop and evaluate alternative system and workflow solutions; recommend optimal approaches.
• Establish solution specifications and coordinate development and deployment activities with programmers and technical teams.
• Validate system functionality and performance through testing and quality assurance activities.
• Support production operations by training users and providing post-implementation support.
• Contribute to organizational objectives by completing related tasks and initiatives as required.

• Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as C#, C++, Java, .NET, or SQL.
• Experience with software design, documentation, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of software and hardware requirements across enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and system integration concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Strong collaboration, consulting, and teamwork skills.
• Project management skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data visualization tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in IT operations or database administration is a plus.
• Experience with Java‑based front‑end development, SQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, or equivalent database technologies.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Hands‑on experience with software implementation and tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Experience working across multiple operating systems, including Linux (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, security architecture, and best practices for securing and hardening operating systems, networks, databases, and applications.
• Knowledge of the full project lifecycle.
