* What You Will Be Doing

You will be the Data Scientist Analyst Stf (Level
4) for the F35 Production Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for transforming refined data into actionable insights that drive Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Planning and Production Operations decisions and delivering business‑ready data products.

In this highly visible role you will report directly to the F35 Production Engineering Strategic Operations Sr Manager and have periodic reporting to the Production Engineering Director. This new role will help shape the future of Data Analytics within the PE organization. This role will lead the transition from current Data Analytics products such as Tableau Dashboards into AI adoption. This role will serve as the primary for development and integration of AI products into the organization as well as working with the leadership to develop a pathway to larger scale AI adoption.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Perform exploratory research and analysis to identify novel and meaningful patterns in data and uses statistical methods to reject or accept proposed hypotheses about relationships or latent predictive factors discovered through their work to provide business value. Uses a combination of tools, technologies, and numerical computing systems (i.e.: GPU processing, distributed computing, highly parallel coding, cloud computing, machine learning, visualization, system modelling and simulation) to achieve results.

Areas of expertise should include several of the following: applied statistics, text mining, natural language processing, deep learning, optimization, and other similar fields. Work on datasets with applied statistics and machine learning algorithms;
Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data sets and discover opportunities in datasets to support decision-making;
Develop predictive models and new algorithms to solve data / business problems;
Understand the math and statistics behind the models and interpret, extrapolate, and prescribe from data to deliver actionable recommendations using effective visualizations

** Basic Qualifications*
* - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- 2+ years supporting/creating AI/ML systems

- Experience in building data models for end user consumption, optimizing queries and data structures for analytic purposes

- Experience with Python or R, especially relating to data orchestration tasks

- Experience writing data transformation jobs (e.g. metrics, aggregations, etc.) using SQL

** Desired Skills*
* - Experience in entity-relationship modeling, data warehousing, and big data modeling.

- Familiarity with Production Operations, specifically within a manufacturing environment

- Understanding of Manufacturing, Quality or Operations Engineering roles

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with data architects, developers, and business stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns, trends, and insights.

- Strong knowledge of data management principles, best practices, and standards, including data governance, data quality, and data security.

** Pay Information*
* Full-Time Salary Range: $120600.00 - $224000.00
