Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal and land teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate, title research, and right of way documentation, particularly in the oil and gas sector. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and legal integrity of our land acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct title research and prepare title reports for project areas.
  • Draft, review, and manage legal documents including easements, agreements, and memoranda.
  • Support attorneys and land agents in preparing documentation for negotiations and acquisitions.
  • Maintain organized records of legal documents and project files.
  • Coordinate with county clerks and title companies for document recording and retrieval.
  • Assist in due diligence and compliance reviews for land transactions.
  • Monitor and track project timelines and legal milestones.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in real estate or energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and documentation related to land use.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with oil and gas pipeline projects.
  • Familiarity with right of way acquisition, title curative, and land records.
  • Knowledge of Texas property law and public land records.
  • Ability to read and interpret metes and bounds legal descriptions.
