Beck is looking for a qualified Project Manager to join an extraordinary project team. This is an individual role with involvement across many facets of construction. You will be primarily responsible for project financials, schedule, risk management, quality, and client relationships, and you will supervise the project team to establish priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships with owners, subcontractors, unions, and others to ensure economical, safe, and expeditious execution of the work.

Lead projects typically ranging from $10 million to $50 million in scope or large scopes on bigger projects.

• Support the preconstruction effort including assembling bid packages, directing pre-bid meetings, analyzing bids, awarding contracts, and assisting with contract negotiations
• Identify and lead cost savings through value engineering
• Assemble accurate general conditions estimates and maintain GC budgets throughout construction
• Ensure construction, subcontracts, and purchase orders conform to Contract Documents
• Understand what constitutes a breach of contract and the steps to enforce
• Analyze change order requests from Owners or subcontractors, determine validity, and negotiate changes
• Mentor, train, and supervise direct reports including Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
• Accurately forecast project costs and report to leadership monthly
• Oversee creation and maintenance of the project schedule and assist superintendents with schedule updates to ensure on-time project completion

• 8+ years of relevant commercial construction experience; healthcare and office building experience preferred
• Knowledge of local market and city regulatory requirements and procedures preferred
• Has completed one or more projects as Project Leader in charge of outcome (financial, completion, schedule)
• Has been part of a larger project team supporting the team leader on project management duties
• Understanding of how pre-project planning affects delivery
• College degree in a relevant field
• Experience using Excel, Synchro, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit or comparable construction technologies is a plus
• Estimator experience is a plus

Frequently operates a computer and office equipment; may ascend/descend ladders and stairs; works in varying outdoor weather conditions; moves equipment up to 50 lbs; communicates with subcontractors and project team; may move around job sites on uneven surfaces; reports for attendance as required.
