- Under the general supervision of a supervisor or an employee of equal or higher rank, administer effective allocation of manufacturing resources for process planning creation and maintenance.
- Responsible for BOM consumption, Computer Aided Planning (CAP) routing creation and manufacturing items orders for manufacturing operations in Bell business systems.
- When a Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) model exists, create and maintain manufacturing instructions (drawings & modeling).
- Possess knowledge of shop production and processing operations.
- Work in accordance with management strategies and program/departmental processes and procedures using Bell Business Systems.
- May train one or more employees.
- Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures to perform assigned work.
- Responsible for accurate BOM management and consumption for manufacturing operations.
- Create and maintain proper work sequence documentation and CAP routings.
- Generate manufacturing items orders/requests including but not limited to NC Programs, Tools/Fixtures, and Gages.
- Provide process planning support to manufacturing operations through production order maintenance, tool maintenance requests, and various liaison functions.
- Maintain dimensional charts, manufacturing instructions, material operation diagrams, and ply tables as required.
- Maintain records and schedules of work assigned, meeting cost control standards, schedule, and qualification requirements to maintain market competitiveness.
- Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as directed by management.
- Execute strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
- Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and train, direct, instruct, and validate Production Engineering work.
- Attend training and complete competency-based testing to remain current with technological advancements.
- Two (2) years of college or two (2) years of experience in the aircraft industry or completion of a related Bell apprentice program.
- Demonstrated capability to adequately perform essential functions related to GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
- Experience in technical writing or in a role utilizing technical writing within an aerospace/manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, ERP/MRP software, tool design repositories, and CAD software.
- Preferred demonstrated experience with manufacturing composite or metallic materials.
- Preferred experience with machined parts.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
